
Before leaving for Bodega Bay from Oakland at 3:00 a.m., I had checked the weather map which indicated the Coast was clear. What I failed to check was the condition of the roads getting to my destination. Duck soup! You could cut the fog with a knife. I had to decide that what I read was accurate and that my blind journey was only an obstacle towards the prize. You can imagine my relief when I reached my destination to observe this unusually beautiful starlit harbor image I call “Starry Starry. . . .”
